A guide to The International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque New Mexico:
Have you heard of it? It's the biggest hot air balloon festival in the world.
You have to wake up very early to get there in time for the Dawn Patrol show, Laser Light Show, and the Morning glow. Parking is crazy and expensive, so you can opt for parking nearby in Albuquerque and taking the free bus shuttle into the park. It was very well planned an run.
It was so awesome to be so close to the balloons light up the dark sky before sunrise. There was definitely a thrill unlike anything else as such a large crowd cheered with the first light of the balloon and as the balloons took off in the dark sky.
As the morning progressed and as more balloons took off in the sky, it was amazing to see so many dot the sky. Truly breathtaking and unbelievable. You've got to experience it at least once.
The festival happens every fall usually in the first two weeks of October. Plan and go!
