If you don't like coffee, this is for you. Here's a delicious creamy tiramisu that's authentic. I still remember the cute Italian girl I got this recipe for. She would frequently make this for others and I had to get it. Man, it's good!
8 eggs
16 oz of Marscapone
8 tsp of sugar
2-3 packages of Savoiardi (Lady Fingers)
Hot Cocoa
Cocoa Powder
First separate the egg whites from the yolks.
Next, combine egg yolks and half the sugar. Then add a spoonful of softened room temperature Marscapone at a time. Be sure to combine all ingredients very well.
Clean beaters then beat egg whites and the other half of the sugar. Beat for 10 minutes or until you can tip the bowl upside down and the whites don't move.
Gently fold the egg white mixture into the cream marscapone mixture. Fold one spoonful at a time. Be sure to fold the same direction the entire time.
Once that mixture is complete, you can get your hot cocoa ready. Use your favorite. I love Stephen's traditional hot cocoa.
Dip the Lady Fingers in the hot cocoa on both sides. Just let the Lady Fingers kiss the liquid. Laying them down in it will make them soggy.
Put one layer of cream on the bottom of a dish, then add a layer of Lady Fingers in the hot chocolate. Add another layer of cream and then Lady Fingers until you reach the top of the pan. Put the last layer of cream, then sprinkle cocoa powder over the top.
Chill for 2 hours and enjoy
