It's kind of like a mini Lake Powell because of the red rock and the inlets of the Lake. I was surprised by the sheer size of it! For not being so well known, it's huge! Camping in Mustang Ridge Campground made it so easy to put the jet skis on and off the lake every day. Because we got there later, we didn't get a campsite that overlooked the lake. Take note for next time we will try to make a reservation and make sure we get campsites 43, 39, or 37. Something else to remember for next time is that the section near mustang ridge campground, and even over to hideout canyon Boat-In Campground, the water was nice. Once we turned the bend and starting going North/South instead of East/West, the water got incredibly choppy and the wind was so strong. I recommend staying in that area of the reservoir.
